SESSION DATES:- Session 1 20th November Avon Classroom/Playground – Topic: Sun, Earth & Moon Session 2 27th November Avon Classroom/Playground – Topic: Solar System Session 3 4th December Avon Classroom/Playground – Topic: The Constellations Session 4 11th December Avon Classroom/Playground – Topic: The Universe Session 5 18th December Visit to Bayfordbury Observatory, Nr Hertford (Proposed Observatory visit date 18/12/18 TBC by Observatory - Parent transport & supervision required) Other information Each week your child is encouraged (if they own one) to bring their telescope and we will see what we can see in the night sky (as long as conditions permit). If your child does not have a telescope, do not worry, they can use one of ours! Your child will also need to bring a pen for note taking and answering questions. Parents, please note that the trip to the Bayfordbury observatory Nr Hertford is a 2 hour trip which will include a lecture, being shown around the telescopes and equipment and a show in the planetarium. The proposed date is 18/12/18 but this is TBC. A parent or guardian will be required to transport your child to & from the observatory and be able to stay and supervise your child. Please complete the permission slip and return to the School Office with payment in an envelope marked with your child’s name and club name. Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
