It is very disappointing to note that, despite the installation of three ‘poo bins’ around the village, thoughtless dog owners are failing to clear up after their pets, often within very short distances of the bins. The problem is particularly prevalent, within a few yards of the bin, on the path leading from Lower Street, Pury End up to Park Lane. The Parish Council is doing its best but needs everyone to help, if Paulerspury parish is to remain a lovely place in which to live. THE PAULERSPURY PLAYERS’ 30th Anniversary Celebration Variety Show Sat 8th Sept There have been 30 Years of The Paulerspury Players – Oh yes there have! 14,000 panto’ seats sold and over £70,000 donated in cash and in kind to local causes over that time. We’ve decided we really must celebrate such a long and successful run with a rather special show. Some of the original stars of our early shows have agreed to reprise songs, sketches and Music Hall favourites from way back; add in some excellent comedy, humour and music of almost every genre – and you have a unique show that’s not to be missed! September 8th is the date to remember, and I suggest you reserve your tickets early to avoid disappointment. The Show will include: Old Time Music Hall; Folk and Country Music; Jazz and Blues; Barbershop Quartet; Morecombe and Wise and Two Ronnies sketches; Comedy acts – old favourites and a chance to join in - all in the comfort of our village hall with a drinks bar and a sit down meal in the interval. Our Celebration Variety Show is on September 8th, 7:30pm start, Paulerspury Village Hall. Tickets £12.50 each include buffet supper – Box Office: 01327 811578 or 0845 8334910 or www.paulerspuryplayers.org.uk/boxoffice Ed Bloomfield WORLD WAR ONE COMMEMORATIVE WEEKEND This November will mark one hundred years since the end of W W 1.
