FINANCIALS INTRODUCTION Rotaract Club of Vidyaranyapura was sponsored by Rotary Bangalore Vidyaranyapura with 33 members. We were chartered on 16th November, 2017. The following are goals and vision of the club: 1. To build membership in the club 2. To provide a platform where likeminded youth work towards enhancing the society we live in 3. Work closely with Rotary objectives 4. Enhance the public image of Rotaract 5. Take up community service projects that “make a difference” in the 6 areas of focus 6. To build each member and help them improve/learn/overcome fears and grow as a human being HIGHLIGHTS OF CLUB 1. Currently we are a team of 33 members and we have about 15 prospective Rotaractors who will get installed as Rotarators in the coming Rota-year 2018-2019. 2. Club leadership plan of the Presidents for the year 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 are finalized. 3. Partnered with ROTARY UTSAVA in December 2017, organized by Rotary Bangalore Vidyaranyapura, a Public image event. 4. Team one day outing to a farmhouse, Dabaspet and Trekking at Devrayanadurga. 5. Held a joint meeting on 21st January 2018 (bike rally) and were a part of RIMS Rotaract club joint meeting. 6. A walkathon for ‘Swachch Vidyaranyapura, Swasth Vidyaranyapura’ was held 7. Bike Rally for awareness of Pulse Polio with about 100 participants 8. Took part in MIDNIGHT walk organized by the police of Vidyaranyapura for awareness about safety in the area 9. Carried out a ‘NO PLASTIC’ campaign in Vidyaranyapura by pasting posters 10. Organized a ‘Health camp’ for General checkup, Eye test and Dental by partnering with Aveksha hospital and Specsmaart 11. Volunteered along with Rotary Bangalore Vidyaranyapura for Pulse Polio on 28th January, 2018 and 11th march, 2018 12. Won the overall Champions trophy in SANGAM 2017-2018 under Community based club 13. Got a special Recognition in ICGF, December 17th 2017 in NACHLEY dance competition NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Rotaractors, It is an immense pleasure and honor for me to be able to host our charter DOV. I am highly delighted to welcome everyone not just to present but also to celebrate all the achievements we have accomplished during this rotayear. Our club was chartered in the month of November, the previous year. In this short duration of time, we have achieved to hold a great deal of events, beginning with the bike rally. I am really proud that we managed to host events as a charter club, with such ease due to the unwavering support of all our members and our Parent Club; a true symbol of team work. Over the course of the year, my club members became a family to me, a vivid and talented lot of people who together worked to achieve the same goal of making a meaningful change. Utsava, A public image event was organized by Rotary Bangalore Vidyaranyapura (RBV) in December. Our club actively participated in organizing and assisting this event. The main stage DJ, inter school competitions and the walkathon were a few areas where we played a pivotal role. To educate the residents of our locality about polio and the need for vaccination, we conducted a Bike Rally where over a hundred bikers participated. To celebrate the republic of India, and provide the quite essential medical aid, we organized a Blood Donation camp on Republic day, where we collected 72 units of blood. Rotary as a foundation, gave us a platform to serve the community and society and ignite a change to make a difference. I specially would like to thank Rtn. ACN. Murthy (President of RBV), Rtn. Naveen Joshi (Secretary of RBV), the board of directors and the entire RBV team for initiating the rotaract service which has added meaning to our lives in countless ways. We aspire to set a benchmark in the work that we do. We also aim and vouch to kindle a flame in the body of young minds, to serve and be served. NOTE FROM THE SECRETARY Greetings! It gives me immense pleasure to write this note and to successfully complete my term as the charter secretary of Rotaract Club of Vidyaranyapura. In many ways although we were a charter club , we have reached many milestones under the leadership of President Rtr Sanjana and I whole heatedly would like to thank the whole team of RaC Vidyaranyapura for the support. During this year , I met a lot of rotaractors from various clubs and would also like to thank them for their support. When I look back at how I was and how I am today , I feel I made the right decision by joining rotaract. The friends I have made, and these memories will forever be embedded in my mind. During the course of this term, starting with our flagship event 'utsava' all the way till a health camp , I feel we've done a good job. From waking up early on Sunday mornings to mid night walkathons. From blood donation camps to pulse polio drives. This has been our journey. Perhaps the most exciting was a bike rally for awareness of polio, which had nearly 100 participants! In the middle of all this work , we also had a fun time with a road trip to devrayamdurga and a farmhouse in dabaspet. We also organised a health camp with 205 people taking part in it! This note would be incomplete if I don't thank the immense support extended by our parent club in the form of Rtn A C N Murthy , Rtn Navneeth Joshi and Rtn Suresh. They were like Ray of light guiding us in such a way that we didn't feel like a charter club at all. My regards goes out to my team for having faith in me and participating in all our events. We say 'Together we can ' I'd like to say 'Together we did' and ‘Together we will continue to do’!
