It is surrounded by historic gardens, parkland and meadows inhabited by pheasants, rabbits, deer and grazing sheep and two lakes covering 50 acres abounding with fish and wildfowl – all landscaped by the famous architect ‘Capability’ Brown. Yet Luton Hoo’s exterior conceals luxurious accommodation, innovative cuisine, superb meeting and banqueting facilities and quality support and service which belong firmly in the 21st century. 18thcentury elegance and grandeur The warmth and sincerity of welcome is as you would expect from good friends. The grandeur of the Great Hall epitomises the style of the Mansion House – at the base of the spectacular oval staircase is a striking sculpture in the style of Bergonzoli, and the Pillared Hall and Italianate Drawing Room provide a peaceful oasis for morning coffee, an informal meeting with colleagues or pre dinner drinks. The original State Dining Rooms and Grinling Gibbons Room have been sensitively restored and are now the setting of the award winning Wernher Restaurant. Its exotic marble panelwork and richly coloured fabrics, reminiscent of the Palace of Versailles, provide a stunning backdrop for the enjoyment of superb cuisine and wines, for which the Restaurant has won critical acclaim. Exquisitely decorated rooms and suites The Mansion House contains 35 stately and exquisitely decorated rooms and suites, the varying sizes and styles of which mean that no two rooms are alike. With outstanding features including silk lined and panelled walls, marble fireplaces and ornately decorated ceilings, the nine state and principal suites are named after royalty and eminent persons connected with the estate during its lifetime, among them Queen Elizabeth II and Lord Mountbatten. A landscaped courtyard with covered pergola provides the walkway from the Mansion House to the Parkland Wing, which features 38 air-conditioned bedrooms and suites, including the stunning Roof Garden Suite . Commanding panoramic views east and west across the estate , the beautifully designed roof garden is perfect for summer al fresco dining or a private reception. Versatility and style for any event For an off-site meeting where you and your colleagues will have time and space to think…a venue for an all important presentation that will impress your clients and guests…or a location that will comfortably accommodate a conference for up to 120 delegates – it is hard to improve on the meeting facilities at Luton Hoo. With 17 fully equipped suites and syndicate rooms of varying sizes containing the very best facilities, a licence for civil ceremonies and a range of private dining venues, the Mansion House at Luton Hoo has the versatility to meet any requirement. Surrounded by the lake and tributaries of the River Lea, Warren Weir offers a tranquil, yet all encompassing, meeting and wedding venue complementing the facilities of the Mansion House, but capable of accommodating larger meetings and events where exclusivity is important. Warren Weir includes an accommodation wing with 84 delightful bedrooms and suites, all commanding views over the lake, weir, private gardens or river with suites named after wildfowl to be found in the surrounding water meadows. The hospitality lounge on the first floor with panoramic views of the river and woodland beyond, provides the facility to welcome your guests in style or to simply relax after the pressures of the day. Exclusive, private and tranquil The Warren Weir Suite, complete with private garden and overlooking the River Lea, comprises five individually designed function rooms adaptable for conference or leisure use and licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies, Warren Lounge, business desk, syndicate suite and dedicated leisure facilities. Importance is placed on meeting the flexibility, comfort and support required for every guest at Warren Weir, whether it’s for a major product launch, an annual conference with syndicate meetings or a memorable civil ceremony and reception. The Lea Suite on the ground floor offers the largest of Warren Weir’s conferencing spaces. This columned room with open fireplace, adjacent terrace and direct access from Warren Weir’s catering facilities and kitchen can accommodate up to 280 for banqueting and 340 for a reception.
