Mark 4:41 7th WHAT IS YOUR PRAYER FOR THIS WEEK Dear God, Amen 8th READ MARK 4:35-41 JESUS CALMS THE STORM Jesus is our Protector While Jesus was sleeping in the boat, what was happening all around him? What did Jesus do to the storm when he woke up? We can go to Jesus anytime we are afraid, no matter What happened to the storm when Jesus told it to what causes the fear because NOTHING is too big for Jesus to handle. stop? Ask Jesus to help you when you are feeling afraid or scared this week. Let's remember to turn to Jesus FIRST! 9th Craft Idea Wind and Wave Wind Sock Toilet Roll / Card Ribbon Fish / Marine Stickers (optional) Glue Tape Stapler Cut up pieces of ribbon into 15cm lengths. Colour the toilet roll or cut card to fit and add stickers. Add the verse from Mark 4:41 - Even the wind and waves obey Him! Glue or tape ribbon across the length of the bottom. Please remind me that in every situation I can pray to You and share my fears with You. Thank You for the promise You made that Your peace would guard my heart and mind. Thank you God that you are with me wherever I go. Your presence gives me the confidence to be strong and courageous. Help me not to be worried or discouraged, but to remember that You are with me. Mark 2:10-11 MY FAVOURITE PART OF MARK 2:1-12 15th Choose your favourite part of the true story in Mark 2 and draw what happens GAME TIME! 16th Mat Carry Use a blanket, towel or a mat to carry a soft toy around the room. Be careful not to drop the soft toy. make it more of a challenge by adding a route all must follow. If in a group, you could turn it into a race. Speak about how the friends carried the man to Jesus. Who is your best friend? Are you a friend others can trust? 17th We learn three things about Jesus from this story ... - Jesus is our healer Jesus can heal both physical problems and heart problems. - Jesus forgives our sins We can always go to Jesus and say sorry. - Jesus is our forever friend Jesus is always with us and wants to be best friends. Did you know…In Bible times, people used the roof of the house for more than keeping out the rain. During the summer, families might sleep on the roof to take advantage of the cool night air. They dried grain and fruit on the roof, stored tools there, and even went up on the roof to pray. 18th ZACCHAEUS THE TAX COLLECTOR if you want God to change your life, He can, and will. Zacchaeus knew what he was - a tax collector. He knew what people thought about him. But he wanted Jesus. Come back tomorrow to learn more ... 19th THE STORY OF ZACCHAEUS There are two things you should know about Zacchaeus. Zacchaeus was a little man. And Zacchaeus was a rich man. And nobody liked him very much. Okay, that’s three things. Nobody like Zacchaeus mostly because he got rich taking money from other people and giving it to the Romans. Nobody liked the Romans much either. That was because they came in from another country like a bunch of big bullies. Zacchaeus collected money for the Romans. They called it "collecting taxes." Some of the money he gave to the Romans - but lots of it he kept for himself. And that’s how he got rich. Zacchaeus was a very rich man... and Zacchaeus was a little man... without a lot of friends. 20th FOR THE FULL STORY READ LUKE 19:1-10 Fast Forward: Jesus entered Jericho and was passing through. Zacchaeus wanted to see who Jesus was, but being a short man he could not, because of the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a Sycamore-Fig tree to see Jesus. “Zacchaeus!” Jesus said to him, “Hurry down from there! “I must stay at your house today!” “How does he know my name?!” Zacchaeus thought to himself. “But he does! He knows my name! And he wants to come and stay at MY house!” 21st Jesus is our friend And you know what? Jesus knows you too! Jesus knows you by name, just like he knew Zacchaeus. He wants to come and tell you how much he loves you. He wants to tell you the good news of his home in heaven. He wants to laugh with you and cry with you, and be with you no matter what. On the largest heart write or copy around the edges, “Jesus Loves Me.” On the next smaller heart write, “When I’m Happy, When I’m Sad.” On the next smaller heart write, “When I’m Good,” and on the next smaller heart, “When I’m Bad.” On the smallest heart, write “Jesus Loves Me No Matter What.” glue the hearts one on top of the other, largest to smallest, with the smallest heart on top with the words, “Jesus Loves Me No Matter What!” HELP THE CHILDREN GET TO JESUS 25th “Let the little children come to me.
