2/25/2021 Girl Scouts View in Browser Sharing Joy in Challenging Times Dear Girl Scout Family, Girl Scout Cookie season moves into high gear tomorrow when cookie booths open across Monmouth and Ocean counties. It’s an exciting time for all our Cookie Bosses and families, as well as everyone in our community, eager for the annual tradition of stocking up on their favorite boxes of our delicious cookies. The pandemic continues to challenge us, but I am so impressed with our girls’ determination, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. I can’t wait to see our girls in action, setting up “Lemonade Stands,” generating online sales, supporting drive-thru cookie locations, and perfecting their sales pitch at community booths. Remember, the Cookie Program is more than selling cookies. It’s the largest girl-led entrepreneurship program in the world. It’s an incredible opportunity for girls to develop lifelong skills central to the Girl Scout experience: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. It’s also about sharing joy with our neighbors in a difficult time. Best of luck to our Cookie Bosses (and families!) as you power through the 2021 Cookie Season safely to achieve your goals.
