As a community focused Cultural Trust one of our main priorities is the provision of arts, sport and creative activities for children and young people. Engaging with young people and acting on the feedback we receive is central to the delivery of customer centred activities for young people. Investing in facilities to attract young people continues: from Letter from the Director the purpose-built Shokk Youth Gyms to the Heywood Sports Village (which opens later in 2010). We are working to ensure that this new cultural facility in Heywood will be as enthusiastically received as the Middleton Arena, which continues to receive an overwhelmingly positive response from customers, local residents, partners, staff and media. We hope that you too will visit these and our other facilities and participate in their offer. To ensure that we continue to deliver year after year dynamic, exciting and inspiring education programmes across all our services the Cultural Trust continues to forge and develop partnerships. I am sure that you will agree with me that the latest Arts & Heritage Schools Programme 2010/11 provides some of the best local opportunities for active learning outside the classroom and that it will encourage you and your children to participate fully in our service.
