BON VOYAGE 2020 has closed restaurants, hotels, and borders, making it impossible to travel safely or even plan a vacation abroad anytime soon. Isa seems unanchored and unsure whether she will stay long enough to fit in to the rhythm of life in her new surroundings. Although the floating quality of this film can dip down into bleakness at times, Isa's sweetness and spontaneity made me want to watch over and over again. THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES (2004) Steering away from any political commentary, this film focuses on Ernesto "Che" Guevara's 1952 journey from Argentina to Peru with his friend, Alberto Granado. Instead of losing heart when she hears no word from her family, she checks in to a local hotel and decides to take her own journey of self-discovery and romance. COLD FEVER (1995) Atsushi, a Tokyo businessman, travels to Iceland after a relative convinces him to visit the remote river where his parents died years ago. Oliver, an American research assistant, slowly changes Elio's perspective over the course of the long summer, against the backdrop of lush natural beauty in the Italian countryside. .
