Viña Albali Vino de la Tierra de Castilla Viña Albali Cabernet Sauvignon Inspired by the clear, starry night sky, Félix Solís wanted to create a wine that would capture the pleasure-loving, life- affirming spirit of the Spanish people. He named it Albali after a star in the constellation of Aquarius. Region Like France’s Vins de Pays, Vino de la Tierra de Castilla is a Spanish geographic indicator for wines from the autonomous region of Castilla-La Mancha. This is a region at an altitude of 700m covered with limestone and argillaceous soils that endure scarce rain falls. VARIETY STYLE Cabernet Sauvignon Still Wine ALCOHOL GRADUATION SERVING TEMPERATURE 13% Serve between 12 and 14ºC. Tasting Notes A well-structured wine with a balance of red and black fruit with hints of pepper, typical of the variety. It has great complexity and a long balanced finish. Food Pairing Goes well with roast vegetables, pork dishes, rice dishes, stew or roast lamb. Technical Information Grapes are carefully selected and gently crushed. The juice and berries are transferred to temperature controlled tanks for fermentation, where colour and flavour from the grapes is gently extracted through pumping the released juice back over the grapes. An innovative technology gently removes most of the alcohol, without affecting the natural flavours resulting in a drink with all of the taste of wine, but not the alcohol. Region The area of Castilla-La Mancha, located in the central plateau of the Iberian Peninsula, is the world’s largest vineyard. Varietal wines, grape juice and sangrias are produced in this vast wine region. Airen and Tempranillo are the most typical grapes from this area. VARIETY STYLE Cabernet and Tempranillo. Desalcoholised wine-based drink. ALCOHOL GRADUATION SERVING TEMPERATURE <0.5% (Desalcoholized wine). Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume in two days. Tasting Notes Cherry colour, violet edges and aromas of plum, red fruits and currant characteristic of the Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties. The palate is pleasant and smooth, with a light, fruity and well-balanced finish. Food Pairing It is perfect to enjoy with light tapas, white meats and cheeses. Technical Information Alcohol is extracted from wine by a non-aggressive, complex and sophisticated process, to avoid the loss of aromatic compounds and characteristics of the original grape variety. The quality and organoleptic properties of the resulting product are not affected in the process, obtaining a wine of <0.5% alcohol of high quality, expressive, fresh and intense aromas. Technical Information The ripening process of the grapes is strictly controlled while on the fields to determine the optimum harvesting moment that yields grapes with a perfect balance of sugar content and acidity. Then, the grapes undergo a cold maceration period for 3 or 4 days. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for up to 8 days never over 25ºC. The result is an elegant, well-structured wine that is designed to be consumed young. Food Pairing Perfect with light tapas, sausages, paella, meat dishes, vegetables or semi-cured manchego cheese. Technical Information Each elaboration phase is carefully controlled. The best Tempranillo and Shiraz grape batches are selected and macerated separately to get the most out of each variety. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks between 22-24ºC. Then, our experts assemble a coupage made of Tempranillo and Shiraz. Félix Solís Avantis Viña Albali D.O. Valdepeñas Viña Albali Tempranillo This wine was inspired by the clear starry night skies in La Mancha. Félix Solís wanted to create a wine that would capture the pleasure-loving, life-affirming spirit of Spanish people. He named it Albali after the brightest star in Aquarius. Viña Albali Tempranillo is made by extracting the optimum amount of tannin and fruit from the grape in order to preserve the natural flavours and aromas. It proves that fruitiness can also have body. Region Valdepeñas takes its name from the ancient city by the same name, that lies on a sun-baked river valley dotted by small rocky formations (Val-de-peñas – Valley of Rocks). Located in the South of Castilla-La Mancha in central Spain. The area is almost entirely encircled by both La Mancha Denominación de Origen on the North border and Andalusia on its Southern limits. It experiences extreme weather conditions, with temperatures reaching up to over 40 ºC in the summer and dropping to as low as -10 ºC in the winter. The future of this Denominación de Origen lays with its red wines made from Tempranillo; a grape variety that enjoys the ability to age well as crianza, reserva and gran reserva. VARIETY STYLE Tempranillo Still wine ALCOHOL GRADUATION SERVING TEMPERATURE 13% Best served between 15-18ºC Tasting Notes Its intensive bouquet evokes red berries, violet and light toast aromas with concentrated dark fruits such as blackcurrants. On the palate it is mellow with ripe tannins. Food Pairing Smooth and fruity, this wine can be enjoyed with light tapas and is suitable to accompany any type of meat and cured cheese. Technical Information The grapes are carefully selected and fermented at controlled temperature between 22-24ºC in stainless steel tanks. Then, the wine ages for 2 months in American oak barrels. This is a young wine that remains in oak barrels for a short time.
