This notice provides information pertaining to changes in programming for Adelphia Communications (Adelphia) in Franchise Area C (East San Fernando Valley) and Franchise Area L (Boyle Heights). At least some subscribers and area residents will be affected in Council Districts: 2 (Greuel); 4 (LaBonge); 5 (Weiss); 6 (Cardenas); 7 (Padilla), 9 (Perry), 12 (Smith) and 14 (vacant). As previously reported, as a part of Adelphia's system upgrades, Adelphia has reconfigured programming packages for standardization. The final phase of these programming changes will take effect as Adelphia completes construction in Franchise Areas C and L. It is anticipated that construction in some areas will be completed in September 2005. To ensure customers are aware of the programming changes, Adelphia will notify customers seven days prior to any change taking place. Fiscal Impact: The proposed changes to the channel line-up may impact franchise fees paid to the City if subscribers decide to change their programming package as a result.
