In those three years, I have seen amazing growth at our YMCA. I get the honor of watching stories taking place every single day inside and outside of our walls. I hope that you feel that while tonight has a goal of fundraising for the Y, it has an element of thanks and graciousness. The impact that is being made at the Y would not happen if not for you and your selfless contributions of time and financial resources. As you will hear tonight, the Y holds a special value in our community. Kids learn life skills at the Y while adults get to focus on feeling better and being better. I have learned a lot in my role with the Tillamook Y. I have learned that you cannot discount this community in their efforts to get something they want. I have learned that a big YMCA can exist in a small community that cares. I have learned that even if you might not be a “Pioneer” you are still welcomed with open arms. I have learned that no one will tell you all of their secrets about Salmon fishing, if they do tell you a fishing secret, it is not really a secret, you are just the last to know. My hope for tonight is that you feel inspired, encouraged, and invigorated with what is going on in our community. I hope that you see that by supporting the YMCA you really are strengthening the community that we all love so dearly. So please saddle up for some fun tonight, and if you feel the urge to give, give knowing that your gift will help the Y to continue to impact lives. Thank you for being here tonight, Kaylan Sisco CEO and Executive Director of the Tillamook County Family YMCA 6 Premier Sponsors and Friends The Y thanks and recognizes its valued Premier Sponsors for their contributions of $1,000 or more and to the Friends of the Y who donated $300 or more to this year’s YMCA Dinner and Auction.
