Godolphin’s Ghaiyyath (Dubawi) went straight to his customary front-running position but could never quite slip the field, with Magical (Galileo) dogging his every stride and her stablemate Japan (Galileo) close in behind, with Sottsass (Siyouni) also in close order. AS CHAMPERS TAKES MATRON Champers Elysees swept from last to first to record a stunning victory in the Gr.1 Matron Stakes, setting the seal on a magnificent rags to riches season.
