It has been a year of growth for the Foundation, and in turn, this has allowed us to extend our support to hundreds of extraordinary students, teachers and principals across Australia. Of course, this support would not have been possible without the generosity and commitment of our wonderful donors. We are immensely grateful to longstanding donors for their ongoing support, and to new ones for their trust in choosing us to channel philanthropy across public education. In the 2015-2016 financial year the Public Education Foundation, together with its partners, awarded scholarships to 196 students, two teachers and seven principals, which is the highest number of scholarship awarded per year to date. Many of these students have received a multi-year scholarship and will be supported into 2017 and beyond. The Foundation teachers, schools and members of the school also provided ongoing support for 67 students as community with the Minister’s and Secretary’s part of previous years’ scholarship intake.
