HBO premieres the new drama series Boardwalk Empire in the Caribbean Miami, September 28, 2010- HBO Latin America announced that the new, highly anticipated drama series, Boardwalk Empire, will premiere in the Caribbean on Sunday, October 3, 2010. Created by the Emmy®-winning writer of “The Sopranos”, Terence Winter, and produced and directed by the widely acclaimed Martin Scorsese, this roaring ‘20s drama takes place at the dawn of Prohibition, when the sale of alcohol became illegal throughout the United States. At the head of all backroom dealings and rum-running is the town’s treasurer, Enoch “Nucky” Thompson (Steve Buscemi). Corrupt, yet clever, Nucky effortlessly caries out a double life – one in which he reveals himself to be a respected politician, by day, and a feared gangster, by night.
