Members were provided with an overview of the Residential Water Metering in Metro Vancouver: Best Practices Guide for Local Governments highlighting percentage of metering in the region as of 2017, guide purpose, benefits of metering, local government considerations, case studies, evaluation, and advisory committee input. It was MOVED and SECONDED That the GVWD Board: a) authorize an increase of the budget for the Central Park Main No. 2 Maywood Street Pre-Build project between Patterson Avenue and Telford Avenue in the City of Burnaby to $9,000,000; b) approve the award of a contract in the amount of $5,730,880 (exclusive of taxes) to JJM Construction Ltd. resulting from Tender No. 19-073: Construction Services for the Central Park Main No. 2 – Maywood Street Pre- Build; and c) authorize the Commissioner and the Corporate Officer to execute the contract.
