Bid High and Bid Often All proceeds from the sale benefit YOUR Society and will go to the OMSA General Fund, to be specifically used for the direct benefit of members, such as for research grants, publications and/or future convention enhancements. This is a Live Auction Only Only those OMSA members registered for the 2021 Convention may bid in the sale. Buyers must be physically present at the auction and must use the numbered bidder card assigned to them during the Convention registration process. No Buyer’s Premium If the lot is knocked down to you, what you bid is what you pay. All Items Sold to the Highest Bidder The Auctioneer has the sole discretion to conduct the sale and determine the highest bidder. In the event of any dispute, his decision will be final. Everything is sold “As is, Where is” Although all lots have been described in good faith, there are no guarantees as to description accuracy, item authenticity or condition. Once lots are sold there will be no refunds or returns, therefore all items should be physically inspected prior to the sale. Payment and Collection No lots will be released the night of the sale, but rather must be paid for and collected on Friday morning at the Convention Registration Tables between 9 a.m. and Noon. Pakistan Republic Medal, 23rd March, 1956, unnamed as issued, with correct ribbon. 26. GREAT BRITAIN- Order of the British Empire - Commander (Military), Type 2 with full length neck ribbon, in Garrard & Co. Ltd., in case of issue embossed “C.B.E. MILY”, silver gilt and enamels, excellent condition. 27. SOUTH AFRICA- Family group of four medals: British War Medal named to: M. A. Bosch, 5th S. A. M. R. (South African Mounted RiTles) and son’s group of three: 1939-45 Star, War Medal 1939-45 and Africa Service Medal, all impressed: “572118 W.C. Bosch”. All on correct ribbons. 28. BOOKS – Lot of 2 British & Canadian WW1 Interest: 1. Leaving All That Was Dear: Cheltenham and the Great War by G. Sacker. 2. Gallant Canadians: The Story of the Tenth Canadian Infantry Battalion 1914-1919 by Daniel G. Dancocks. 29. USA – Lot of 2: 1. Pearl Harbor Commemorative Medal, 50th Anniversary, in velvet lined case. 2. Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, 100th Anniversary Medal, December 4th, 1999, Philadelphia, PA, in embossed case of issue. 30. USA – United Spanish War Veterans Medal for the 26th Anniversary of Cuban Independence and 30th Encampment of the USWV held in Havana, Cuba and worn by a nurse. Medal has bronze “Nurse” device on ribbon with pinback brooch named “Holland”. With photocopied research on Emma Holland (1862-1953). Graduated from Illinois Training School for Nurses, Class of 1892. She was a contract nurse for the U.S. Army Nurse Corps in the Spanish American War. Buried in Arlington National Cemetery. 31. USA – Lot of 3 Medals of the Selective Service System. 1. Distinguished Service Medal. 2. Exceptional Service Medal. 3. Meritorious Service Medal. All of modern manufacture. 32.
