Each year, it will be produced an annual report and four quarterly reports. This is the first report of the year 2013. The quarterly reports aim at providing close monitoring of management actions, allowing their permanent assessment and evaluation. They are also an indispensable tool for the preparation of annual reports by the record of ongoing actions and their evolution. The report is organized in six chapters. Chapter 1 presents a general contextualization of its elaboration. Chapter 2 makes a review of the works carried out or in progress in the first quarter of 2013, promoted by the University of Coimbra (UC), by the Municipality of Coimbra (CMC), by Central Region Directorate for Culture (DRCC), as well as other interventions promoted by private stakeholders with relevant interest. Chapter 3 points out the studies and the projects promoted in this period by the upper mentioned entities (UC, CMC and DRCC). Chapter 4 describes the actions in the field of management. It includes the implementation process of the managing structure (Association RUAS) and also the evolution of the legal frame with direct implication in the managed territory. Chapter 5 presents the list of actions related to the dissemination and communication carried out during the first quarter of 2013. Finally, chapter 6 registers some brief remarks about the work developed within the period comprised in this report.
