Her shows combine music, theater, and culture with a worldview to bring a sense of the global community to family audiences. Robbi K sings and speaks in many languages on award-winning CDs that speak to cultural differences as opportunities for celebration. Cat Doorman Cat Doorman is Julianna Bright, a musician, an artist, a mom and a big believer in the power of story and song to make us better humans. Cat Doorman Songbook is her first album of music for children. Recorded in her home with members of The Decemberists, Corin Tucker Band, Built to Spill and Bright's grown-up band The Golden Bears, the album's gorgeous compositions and lush vocal arrangements speak to the open hearts of kids. Cat Doorman Songbook's first single “Little Red Wagon” has been released as an interactive app for kids made from hundreds of Bright's hand painted illustrations. Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band Named People magazine's #1 Cool Kid Album of the Year—Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band (LDFJB) caters to the hip family crowd. Hailed by USA Today and CBS as the best band on the children's scene, LDFJB serves up deliciously crafted lyrics and fresh pop beats. Led by a husband and wife duo—award-winning singer/songwriter, Lucky Diaz and Broadway performer/songwriter Alisha Gaddis—it features internationally- renowned melotronist Michael Farkas (Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Bob Dylan's hand- picked harp player). Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band makes kids' music with universal appeal. Alphabet Rockers The San Francisco-based family hip-hop group Alphabet Rockers match nostalgic beats with kid-friendly educational lyrics—a combination that has garnered two Parents’ Choice Awards, four stars from Common Sense Media, spots at kindergarten conferences, an educational iPhone App, and Red Tricycle’s Best Kids Artist Award. Since 2007, the Alphabet Rockers (Kaitlin McGaw, Tommy Shepherd, and Stefanie Liang) have mixed hip-hop, beatboxing, soul music, imagination, and dance for a fun, interactive dance party with a sound and personality that draws in families and kids of all backgrounds. The Terrible Twos Breaking the toddler stereotype, The Terrible Twos are not only one of the most popular “kindie” rock bands in the industry, but also the alter ego of celebrated grown-up pop band The New Amsterdams. Both bands are headed by Matt Pryor, a married father of three who lives with his family in Lawrence, Kansas. Pryor was the front man of a post- punk pop outfit called The Get Up Kids for nearly 17 years, touring the world and building a devoted fan base over the course of five albums. He is currently the lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist for The New Amsterdams, which released its latest album, Outroduction, in March 2013. Pryor found inspiration for the Twos when he began writing songs with “silly lyrics” for his own children and found that they captured the spirit of what he felt children’s music should be. Dirty Sock Funtime Band The Dirty Sock Funtime Band is a wild musical adventure, known for their high-energy videos featured on Nick Jr.’s Jack’s Big Music Show, in Chuck E. Cheese outlets across the country, and on an episode of Comedy Central’s Workaholics. The Dirty Socks are a fan favorite that are sure to ʺinspire dancing in the aisles—by children and parents alikeʺ (New York Family). Its 2013 release The Dirty Socks Come Clean is eagerly awaited by fans that have seen the band on TV and live around the world. David Wax Museum David Wax and Suz Slezak are the David Wax Museum and together they fuse traditional Mexican folk with American roots and indie rock to create a singular Mexo- Americana sound. Combining Latin rhythms, infectious melodies, and call-and-response hollering, DWM was hailed by Time for its “virtuosic musical skill and virtuous harmonies” and has built a reputation among concertgoers worldwide for “kicking up a cloud of excitement with their high-energy border-crossing sensibility” (The New Yorker).
