Jason Stark called his assignment to the head of the Bison herd as his “dream job.” Last week, as he prepared to hand over the reins to incoming CO Lt.-Col. Jean Maisonneuve, he called it “an opportunity of a lifetime.” He gave credit for that wonderful experience not only to the workhorse aircraft (the CC-177 Globemaster III) which they fl y, but to the wonder- ful people of 429 Squadron who always give extra effort to make all missions succeed. “We are often the fi rst one in and the last one out,” he told his audience at 1 Hangar Friday af- ternoon. “There’s no Canadian Armed Forces op- eration that is not somehow affected or supported by you.
