Carpenter II Required - On hand, all times: • Personal PPE – eye protection, hearing protection, fitted respirator, work gloves • Knee pads • Water key • Electrical non-contact voltage tester • Spare trash bags (4-5) • Tarp • Notebook • Flashlight/headlamp • Phone and phone charger (phone must be able to take, send, and receive photos and access email.) • Tool belt or tool vest • Basic hand tools: Tape measure, pencils/pens/sharpies, hammer, speed square, utility knife/blades, multi- tip screwdriver, assorted pry bars/scrapers, flat bar, chisel, torpedo level, nail sets, adjustable crescent wrench, pliers, needle nose pliers, nail pullers/end cutter pliers, magnetic stud finder, chalk line, tongue and groove “Channellock” pliers, file, vise grips, tin snips, Allen wrench set, combination square, bevel gauge/angle finder, scribe tool, etc… • Caulking gun • Organization setup for efficient loading/unloading • Construction Calculator – Construction Master Pro recommended (mobile app is available as well) • Cordless impact driver and associated bits (assorted driving bits, socket set) • Cordless drill and associated bits (index drill bit set, spade bit set, self-centering pilot bit set) • Circular saw – corded or full sized cordless • Reciprocating saw - corded or full sized cordless • Oscillating multi-tool - corded or cordless • Grinder - corded or cordless • Staple gun and hammer tacker • Level set – appropriate for task at hand (typically a jamber set and a 48”) • Portable saw horses (2) • Laser level – 3 plane laser or cross line with 5 dots for layout/squaring Required - As needed based on scope of work or phase of construction: • Shop vac • Cleaning tools – broom, dust pan, etc. • Drop cloth and/or furniture blanket • Framing square • Framing nailer - pneumatic or cordless • Palm nailer • 3 ¼” electric planer - corded or cordless • Random orbital sander – corded or cordless • Jig saw - corded or cordless • Chisel set – For door hardware and other finish hardware installations. Separate from basic tool belt chisel • Compressor if running pneumatic tools • Trim router and various bits (round over, flush cut, etc.) – corded or cordless • 15 gauge finish/16 gauge finish pneumatic or cordless • 18 gauge brad nailer pneumatic or cordless • 23 gauge micro pinner pneumatic or cordless • Coping sander –1” belt sander, grinder with disks/flap wheels, rotary sander, etc. if utilized • Miter clamps, clamshell clamps, pinch dogs, etc. • 18 gauge 1/4 crown stapler pneumatic or cordless Working to accumulate - As needed based on scope of work or phase of construction: • Miter saw/stand • Job site table saw and stand • Track saw • Portable work table or equivalent • Pocket hole jig • Door hardware prep tools and jigs • Portable dust collection (HEPA) • SDS hammer drill (bulldog size) • Biscuit or domino joiner • Basic and trade specific hand tools (planes, chisels, forstner bits, pull saws, squares/gauges) • Various clamps • Larger router and various bits .
