Core Network The rural road network required for providing the basic access "to all villages/habitations is termed as the Core Network. The Core Network is likely to be a cost effective conceptual frame work for investment and management purposes, particularly in the context of scare resources. Basic access is defined as one all- weather road access from each village/habitation to the nearby Market Centre of Rural Business Hub (RBH) and essential social and economic services. A Core Network comprises of Through Routes and Link Routes, Through routes are the ones which collect traffic from several links roads or a long chain of habitations and lead it to a market centre or higher category road, i.e. the District Roads or the State or National Highways Link Routes are the roads connecting a single habitation or a group of habitations to Through Roads or District Roads leading to Market Centers Link Routes generally have dead ends terminating on habitations, while Through Routes arise from the confluence of two or more Link Routes and emerge on a major road to a Market Centre. 1.5 Geography It is in Bhopal commissioners Raisen district is situated between the latitude 22 47' and 23 33' north the longitude 77 21' and 78 49' east. Sehore district lies in west. Vidisha district in the north. Sagar district in the east and south-east. Narsimhpur district in the south-east. Hoshangabad and Sehore districts in the south it covers an area of 8.395 square kilometers (3.241 sq.m) Raisen district has seven tehsils - Raisen, Goharganj, Begamganj, Gairatganj, Silwani, Bareli and Udaipura. According to the 2011 census Raisen District has a population of 1.331,699, roughly equal to the nation of Maritius or the US of Maine. This gives it a ranking of 365th in India (out of a total of 640) The district has a population density of 157 inhabitants per square kilometer (410 /sq m) its population growth rate over the decade 2001-2011 was 18.36% Raisen has a sex ratio of 899 frmales for every 1000 makes and a Meracy rate of 74.26%. The district is getting about 1200 MM average rainfall in normal condition. Different type of soils found in different parts of the district However, light Black soils, light Red & thick red soils with core sand are the predominant soil types available in district. Rivers : There is no perennial in the district. The Betwa River originates from this district. But the benefit is not available for the district Narmada River flows in the district and irrigation facilities available in Bareli Tehsil Bina, Halali, Neon, Basna, Khand, Tandi, Bawas and Dhaman are other small rivers flows in the district in summer Season, these rivers become dry. This is one of the main drawbacks for the fast development of the district. Forest : All Development Blocks of the district are having a considerable area under forest. Total forest area in the district is about 1, 16, 424 hectare out of which about 105614.400 hectare forestaind is in Goherganj tehsil and followed by Silwani tehsil which is about 25.5 thousand hectares. 62.26% of the forest area falts under reserved lorest and 35.82% declared as protected forest area and the temaining 1.91% is scheduled forest area. 1.7 The Sub-Project Road The road passes through plain lerram The road has existing C.D. structure with non damaged carefully.
