Having earned critical acclaim, the Company was invited to return in April of 1986. Over the next 20 years, the Company performed as far afield as Alaska while maintaining major New York seasons at venues including I the Joyce Theatre, The Kaye Playhouse (for the Company's 15th Anniversary), and the Marymount Manhattan Theater. On the international stage, the Company represented the United States S in the Kwang-Ju International Dance Festival in South Korea, performed in the Vignale Dance Festival in Italy, and was the only American dance company invited to appear in the opening of Florence's prestigious "Maggio Musicale" Festival in Italy. In T January 2006, the Company celebrated its 21st Anniversary at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College in New York with a multi-program series of performances, presenting a large cast of 19 dancers, led by guest dance icons Jose Manuel Carreño and Elizabeth Parkinson. O As part of its quest for originality and unique identity, Peridance Contemporary Dance Company has always sought out choreographic and compositional collaboration that result in a diverse repertory. Over the years, Company repertory came to in- clude original work by world-renowned choreographers such as R Ohad Naharin, John Butler, Daniel Ezralow, and Benjamin Harkarvy, in addition to the work created by Artistic Director Igal Perry. The Company has also presented many works with live music and original compositions by young composers including John Mackey, Quentine Chappetta, and Avner Dorman. Y Following a brief hiatus as Peridance Capezio Center relocated to its new studios in Manhattan's Union Square area, the Company re-emerged in 2011 with a successful season that included performances in Washington D.C. and on multiple stages in New York. The unique arrangement of the Company situated within a school creates a harmonious blend of professionals and students, bringing artists from all walks of life together into a lively micro-community, and inspiring young dancers to reach great heights in their art. The Salvatore Capezio Theater is a unique 160-seat black box theater that serves as a beautiful performance venue for the Company, as well as for guest professional companies of all sizes and genres, who rent the theater for artistic and commercial events. The building has a rich history of its own. Constructed in 1903, it originally served as the Van Tassall & Kearney Horse Auction Mart. The building later became the studio of renowned minimalist painter, printmaker, and sculptor Frank Stella from 1978 until 2005. As Peridance’s home, the building continues to be a hub for artistic creation. In 1996, Mr. Ronen joined the Israeli Bat-Dor Dance Company, where he performed work by renowned choreographers including Lar Lubovich, Ed Wubbe, Nils Christie, and Luciano Cannito, and was featured in the Israeli Opera’s productions of Samson and Delilah and Turandot. In 2000, Mr. Ronen was promoted to principal dancer. While with the Company, he had the privilege of meeting and working with Peridance Capezio Center's Founder and Artistic Director, Igal Perry, who chose Yarden for a lead role in his ballet Accord/Discord. Yarden moved to New York City in 2001 and became a member of Ballet Hispanico under the artistic direction of Tina Ramirez, where he worked on new creations with choreographers Ann Reinking, Graciela Daniel, and Ramon Oller. While with Ballet Hispanico, he was a guest performer with Earl Mosley’s Diversity of Dance and Mr. Perry’s Peridance Contemporary Dance Company. In 2003, he joined Buglisi Dance Theater under the direction of Jacqulyn Buglisi and Donlin Foreman, where he had the opportunity to work with notable artists including Christine Dakin and Terese Capucilli. In 2004, Yarden received an invitation to join the critically acclaimed Hubbard Street Dance Chicago under the direction of Jim Vincent. While there, he performed ballets by top international choreographers William Forsythe (USA/Germany), Jiri Kylian (Netherlands), Ohad Naharin (Israel), Nacho Duato (Spain), Twyla Tharp (USA), Lar Lubovitch (USA), Christopher Bruce (UK), Toru Shimazaki (Japan), Marguerite Donlon (Ireland), and Daniel Ezralow (USA), among others. Yarden was also a proud recipient of the 2007 Hubbard Street 2 National Choreographic Competition for emerging choreographers. As a performer, Mr. Ronen has toured extensively across the United States and internationally, visiting Canada, Switzerland, Israel, Austria, Germany, Spain, France, Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, and Russia. In 2008, after a fulfilling career on the stage, Mr. Ronen was invited to New York City by Mr. Perry to become the Director of Development and Public Relations at Peridance Capezio Center and as the Executive Director of Peridance Contemporary Dance Company. At Peridance, in addition to developing and overseeing the management the Center, Mr. Ronen is the co-founder and director of Peridance's APAP Showcases, the Certificate Program, BLUEPRINT Summer Intensive, and the Faculty and Student Showcases. PERIDANCE CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY | 126 EAST 13TH ST NEW YORK NY | 212.505.0886 | [email protected] 9 COMPANY DANCERS CHRISTOPHER BLOOM is from Middletown, VA where he started training at the Vostrikov’s Academy of Ballet at the age of 15. Christopher trained as a scholarship student at the Ballet and Contemporary Dance Programs in the School at Jacob’s Pillow under Anna-Marie Holmes and Milton Myers. He holds a B.F.A. from The Ailey/Fordham BFA Dance program where he had the opportunity to perform works by Sidra Bell, Francesca Harper, Camille A. Brown, Jennifer Muller, Paul Taylor and Alvin Ailey. He has performed professionally with 360⁰ Dance Company, Thang Dao Dance Company, VonUssar DanceWorks, Parsons Dance and with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Attila Joey Csiki trained with the National Ballet of Canada Academy. Upon receiving a scholarship to the School of American Ballet, he moved to NY and danced under the direction of Peter Martins. Attila's professional experience transitioned his career to Tokyo, Japan to work with choreographers including Jiri Kylian, Sir Peter Wright, William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Mauro Bigonzetti, Anthony Tudor and Kenneth McMillan. In Japan Attila performed with such companies as Noism by Kanamori Jo, New National Ballet, K Ballet, Star Dancers Ballet and the Japan Ballet Association. In 2004 Attila joined the Du Capitale ballet of Toulouse France as a soloist. After returning to the U.S., Attila danced as a guest artist with leading American companies such as Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico, Peoria Ballet Illinois, Dance Form Productions, Thomas/Ortiz Dance, and Rasta Thomas' Bad Boys of Dance. In 2008, Attila joined the Lar Lubovitch Dance Company.
