The BOC’s mission is to develop and represent with excellence the high-performance sports in Brazil, working on the enhancement of sports results for Team Brazil, elevating the maturity of the management of BOC and National Federations, and strengthening the image of the Brazilian Olympic sports. The BOC must, also, protect and promote the Olympic Values in the national territory. Throughout its more than 100 years of existence (founded on June 8, 1914), BOC has taken Brazil to the achievement of 129 medals (30 gold, 36 silver and 63 bronze) in Olympic Games and 37 medals in Youth Olympic Games (11 gold, 15 silver and 11 bronze). The BOC’s main source of incomes to fulfill its strategic goals comes from the Federal Law 13.756 / 2018, which provides a percentage of the revenue of Federal Lotteries to sports.
