They are said to be a major cause of mortality and morbidity across the globe. Faulty diets filled with chemicals, pesticides and environmental pollutants is one of the principal factors responsible for above epidemic. Fruits, vegetables and other natural foods are healthy options to mitigate these diseases. Highlighting these issues is the following poem – ‘Food decides your innings’. Food as medicine, Medicine as food, Nectar or poison, Thy choice evil or good.
