I am honored to be on the 2017 board of directors for NTGCSA and serve as your president. We have a great team that serves as on the board of di- rectors and chapter executive that are here to help you. I would also like President’sto Message say thank you to our vendors, our association could not function without you and your support. At the beginning of the year I challenged each of you to “Engage” in your NTGCSA. Sign up your assistants, equipment managers and come out to the meetings. Sign up to host and event and also put some serious thought in about helping to serve on the board or its committees, remember it’s your association help make its better. One of the great things this year is you are engaging as we are seeing more members come out to more meetings. The next time you are about to sign up for a meeting call a buddy and tell him or her, to get off his or her “can” and go to the meeting with you. Please remember to engage in your North Texas Golf Course Association. North Texas has a very long and strong history and tradition in the game of golf. There are many great legions of the game and godfathers of turf that have given great roots to our profession here in North Texas. I have been very fortunate to have been part of the NTGCSA family for almost 15 years now am honored to know gentlemen like Gary Bearden, Stephen Best, Quinton Johnson, Stan Wreyford, Mike Plummer and Ken Small. These gentlemen have inspired, counseled and helped me to be a better su- perintendent and are great examples of what NTGCSA is made of. These gentlemen and many more individuals listed in this directory have shaped and are shaping the future of our industry and our chap- ter. Use this directory as great resource of your fellow superintendents and vendors to help with the challenges of our profession and for the great fellowship they can provide. We are very lucky to have some great members who serve on the NTGCSA board of directors.
