PREFACE he Annual Report 2019-20 of the Rama University is a document which lends confidence and satisfaction that significant strides were gained by Rama University. It covers all the momentous moments of the session T2019-2020. It is an effort to share an account of academic, research, beyond curriculum achievements. The whole gamut includes vibrant events, competitions and academic performance, placements, research activities, accolades earned in the academic year 2019-2020. The University is currently working in the 7th year of its operations and has shown significant growth in different aspects of academics, research as well as for socio welfare in the previous 6th year. The University has been always overwhelmed and sincerely acknowledges the guidance and support given by the Honourable Chancellor, Dr. Suraj Babu Singh Kushwah, Vice Chancellor, Dr. Janardhana Amarnath B.J. and Director, Dr. Prateek Singh Sir, for their significant directives to implement various initiatives. Research finds an appropriate place at the University and it continues to encourage that our students should be provided with an exposure who will work with a competitive research output. Our University focuses on the execution of extra-curricular activities that aims about the overall development of the students. The sole purpose that lies behind all the activities is to ensure that our vision and mission should be reflected in all these activities. Rama University mainly focuses on providing a research based rich environment where students feel free to explore which helps them to enhance their knowledge. Our interaction with external experts from industry and academia is really very helpful and the curriculum is not only updated but also adjusted according to the relevancy of the industry. University’s uniqueness lies in its variety, blended with collaboration and an innovative approach that is used for students. Its academic excellence lies in implementing research activities as well as co-curricular activities that helps students to imbibe a sense of learning by doing the things in a more innovative way. The University provides our students hands-on experience by providing learning opportunities in the classroom and beyond. For the last few years, the graph on the innovation in the academic areas is increasing. Scholars find a rich and progressive environment here. The University’s authorities are playing a crucial role in initiating new programs. The University is providing a kind of knowledge which infuses enthusiasm in our students and they actively participate in all the extension activities through which our University helps to fulfil the societal needs. Besides this our University provides placement, community engagements, welfare and socio-cultural awareness exercises. The University is ever grateful and extends thanks to the Rama Group, the Patrons, Director, Faculty members, and staff for their unflinching support and valuable advice. With a wonderful journey behind us this year, we commit to raise the bar next year. 8 RAMA AT A GLANCE he eye captivating and lush greenery environment of Rama University bewitches every onlooker that spreads around 150 acres adjacent to Mandhana City. Our University offers academic programmes and courses Tunder Various Faculties, namely Engineering, Medical Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Computer Studies, Health Sciences, Media & Communication, Humanities and Management, Law and agricultural Sciences. The University has well sophisticated and dedicated faculty with international experience, progressive learning approach and modern teaching methodology to provide knowledge to its students. The University offers education with a global paradigm. To provide qualitative education of Academic Programs, the University has collaborated with prestigious universities that will provide a great exposure to the students in their academic interest area. The University has hostels for girls and boys with indoor and outdoor sports facilities and health care centres. The Institute has more than requisite infrastructural facilities for its academic programs and administrative functions. It has a central lecture hall, 28 multimedia classrooms with video recording, adequate facilities, furnished furniture and high quality aural equipment are available. Both graduates and undergraduates have their own sets of lecture halls. In addition each department has their own set of lecture and seminar halls. The Institute has acoustic facilities for research and other activities. The IT department has been created for all maintenance. Most of the important equipment has annual maintenance contracts. Adequately trained staff members are there to maintain equipment and services .The maintenance budget is adequate to take care of all common needs. Our faculties are empowered to undertake all these activities on a regular basis. Besides the academic Infrastructure the support facilities for sports, co-curricular and extra –curricular activities are also available. The University has also put in strenuous efforts for proper maintenance and utilization of infrastructure library, sports grounds, laboratories, classrooms, seminar halls, auditorium hostels and all service installations. The industry strives to involve the students as members of the international workforce with leadership qualities to serve the communities in different aspects of the society. The University provides funds and scholarship for the research scholars and meritorious students. Today 1346 students are pursuing their desired aspirations via undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral in different disciplines. Rama University has developed and maintained a library with all required academic resources including 24 x 7 internet facility with wide bandwidth, and electronic gateways for accessing and sharing electronic learning and teaching resources among researchers, teachers, students and the visitors. The library budget ensures that the latest editions of books and journals are continuously made available. There is a continuous effort of the university to increase the acquisition of library electronic resources. Besides, the libraries also provide: Online facilities (DELNET, J-GATE, DVL, NDL, E- Shodh-Sindhu, Shodhganga) in the Library are made available on the desktop in various departments through multi user access at the Central Computer Unit. Students having laptops can browse in the lounge areas of the library. Libraries also provide research based enriched environments to faculty as well as students. Besides this each faculty has their own library and stocked with over 2 lakhs books, periodicals, references, national and International journals, CD- ROMS and e- books are available to faculty and students and can be also accessed remotely. There is a great scope to further enrich resources through higher budgetary allocations for acquisition as well as creation of e- content by faculty. Indubitably, the sports complex is the central feature of any university and it is truly nice that to embolden our students into successful future aspirants our Institute focuses not only the academic efficiency but also on the overall development of the students. Our Institute has separate grounds for football, hockey, volleyball and cricket. It also houses courts for tennis , billiards etc. are available services of qualified coaches and courses in sports are provided and many students have astounded themselves and represented at University, Inter University and International level competitions. A plethora of activities have been conducted every year to inculcate leadership qualities in students. Besides this our Training and Placement cell also focuses on harnessing the latent skills of the students. Indubitably, Rama University not only ensures enormous growth potential but also promotes intellectual as well as personal growth. Rama University has been exemplary on a number of new initiatives which promotes augmentation of research, experimental labs, lecture theatres, students’ facilities, library, IT department and campus facilities. Since this prestigious Institute is only in existence for the last five years, many major improvements have been achieved in the last five years. This includes, increase in faculty, departments, centres, teaching staff, students, academic programs. Significant improvement has been made in student enrolment, their pass percentage, their placements and enrolment of students. New initiatives like entrepreneurship development,
