Construction of Bye-Pass *44. NOTE FOR PAD Two number State Highways, Saharanpur-Kurukshetra road (SH-06) and Karnal- Ramba-Indri-Ladwa-Shahbad road (SH-07) cross Ladwa City. Saharanpur-Kurukshetra road (SH-06) is already 4-laned in Ladwa City portion for a length of 3.95 kms. (from km. 59.35 to km. 63.20). There need of 4-laning of Karnal Ramba-Indri-Ladwa-Shahbad road (SH-07) from District boundary Karnal/Kurushetra upto Ladwa (from km. 27.800 to 32.820 km.) for a length of 5.02 km., as from District boundary Karnal/Kurukshetra upto NH-44, Baldi Mor, Karnal this road is being 4-laned. There is no proposal for construction of bypass of Ladwa City. However, Patiala- Pehowa-Kurukshetra-Ladwa-Yamunanagar road was declared ‘in-principle’ National Highway subject to outcome of DPR by Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MORT&H), Government of India. The work of preparation of DPR was entrusted to Indian Academy of Highway Engineers (IAHE), Noida by MORT&H. Later on this DPR was assigned to Punjab PWD by MORT&H by signing tripartite agreement between IAHE, Punjab PWD and the consultant for preparation of DPR. The consultant had prepared feasibility study and Ladwa bypass in a length of 8.90 km. was proposed in this feasibility study on Southern side. But all the DPRs of ‘in-principle’ has been put on hold by MORT&H and therefore, the work of preparation of DPR could not proceed further. In view of above, there is no proposal of construction of bypass for Ladwa City.
