Page 2A • Wednesday, September 4, 2019 Cassville Democrat NEWS BRIEFS Fun Run set for Sept. 21 The graduating class of 1995 from Cassville High School, along with family and friends of Tonya Bailey, are hosting a 5K/1M Fun Run on Sept. 21. Bailey was diagnosed with brain cancer mid spring of this year. She is seeking treatment through the Mayo Clinic. Bailey and her husband, John, have lived the majority of their lives in Barry County and have two teenage chil- dren. The funds raised from these events will assist the family in reducing the amount of financial burden this illness has incurred for Bailey and her family. A dona- tion breakfast will be held on Sept. 21 from 7-10 a.m. at the Family Life Center in Cassville. Biscuits, sausage, gravy, scrambled eggs, juice and coffee will be served. The run will begin at 8 a.m. at the Family Life Center. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. People may register online at https://www.webscorer.com/register?raceid=189146 or print a paper entry form at http://tiny.cc/ofeobz. There are prizes for first in each age group, male and female, in the 5K race. The 1-mile and virtual races will have one overall first-place winner.
