Westcoast representative stated preliminary environmental work had begun on CS4A, CS5 and CS7. Westcoast representative stated the applications for the T-South Projects were submitted to the NEB in 2018 and are currently undergoing a public hearing. Westcoast representative explained construction activities were scheduled to commence in September 2019 if approved by the NEB. Westcoast representative advised the Crown would rely on the NEB process for the Projects to fulfill any potential duty to consult that might arise with respect to the decisions at issue. Westcoast representative advised ?Esdilagh First Nation (Alexandria First Nation) representative would also receive a copy of the letter from the NEB.
