APRIL 2018 HOUNDhighlights Administration A Message from the Principal Greyhound Families, Principal Wow, this year has flown by! While the year is almost complete, I am encouraged daily by the progress Mr. Michael Rice that our students and our staff have made toward bringing to life our ongoing motto, Everyone Matters. In addition, just as our Mission Statement says, I can tell you that our teachers are working incredibly hard to ensure that our students receive the educational opportunities that will prepare and empower Office Hours them for an ever-changing global society. Through our focus on a Student Centered Learning Environment, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm our teachers are creating classroom experiences where students are participating in rigorous activities that empower them to engage in the learning process, while they discover the content necessary for Monday - Friday obtaining mastery. My Leadership Team and I visit multiple classrooms each day and have witnessed, both quantitatively and qualitatively, a positive shift in the achievement of our students as a result of this effort! I can assure you that your child is important to us and we will do everything it takes, through constant reflection and refinement, to meet the needs of each child on a daily basis. Our students deserve to come to school each day feeling safe and secure, and I can assure you that we have been reevaluating our procedures and protocols and to providing have made several changes.
