We sold nearly 150 pies, as well as soup, chili, cider, and merchandise. While final tallies are still coming, it’s clear that the Pumpkin Fest closed out another great year of Beacon Sloop Club festivals both for the club and for the Beacon community. While the 2016 festival season is being laid to rest, we have other things ahead of us. Work on the Woody is continuing with work parties happening roughly every other weekend. We could use more people on those workdays. We have a steady group of three or four people, but even having five or six could make a big difference. If you are not on the volunteer email list, contact me at [email protected] so I can add you. Aside from festivals and the Woody, the November meeting will include the nominations for 2017 BSC officers, with last minute nominations and voting to be held at the December meeting.
