Please note that until payment has been received, any stand reservations cannot be confirmed and partnering login details will not be issued. Only stands in the Fleming Room have a shell scheme whilst those in the Benjamin Britten Lounge do not. Exact set up times will be confirmed 1 week before the conference. Please watch out for email updates and please do not book any travel arrangements until you have spoken to the organisers about your specific set up time. Tuesday 9 December 2014 Construction of stands continues. 07.00 - 08.00 NB: All stands must be constructed by 08.00 as delegates start arriving. Date Show Open Hours Tuesday 9 December 2014 08.30 - 18.30 Pull Out Date Schedule Tuesday 9 December 2014 Breakdown of stands Fleming Room 18.00 - 22.00 Benjamin Britten Lounge 19.00 - 22.00 All boxes must be labelled with the collection note which can be found on page 8 For safety reasons, pull out cannot commence until ALL visitors have left the hall. All stand fitting and exhibits must be clear of the halls by 22.00 on Tuesday 9 December 2014 when tenancy of the hall ends. Anything left on a stand after this time will be deemed as rubbish and disposed of by the halls. Charges to exhibitors for this service are high. 5 6 6 Genesis 2014 Exhibitor Manual Venue Location and Delivery Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Broad Sanctury, Westminster, London, SW1P 3EE UK Directions to the Venue The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre (QEIICC) is located on Broad Sanctuary in Westminster, central London and can easily be reached by public transport. The postcode is SW1P 3EE. By Tube You can plan your tube journey and buy travel cards online using the Transport for London website. Westminster Station (0.1 miles) - Circle, District, Jubilee lines Exit the station via Exit 6 through the underground tunnel towards Parliament Square. You will come to street level on Whitehall. Turn left into Parliament Square, cross the road ahead of you then turn right into Broad Sanctuary. The Centre is on your right, directly opposite Westminster Abbey. (This is a step-free station.) St James Park Station (0.1 miles) - Circle, District lines Take the Broadway exit from the tube station and walk straight down Tothill Street. At the end of this street turn left and you will see the Centre directly in front of you. (This is NOT a step-free station.) Victoria Station (0.7 miles) - Circle, District, Victoria lines Exit from the front of the station, turn right and walk down Victoria Street. At the end of Victoria Street is Broad Sanctuary, the Centre is on the left, opposite Westminster Abbey. (This is NOT a step-free station.) By Bicycle There are many cycle routes across Greater London. To plan the best route for you to get to the QEIICC visit the Transport for London cycle website. By Bus Buses 11,24,53,77a and 88 all stop at Parliament Square. The Centre is just to the west of the square, directly opposite Westminster Abbey. To plan your bus route, use the Transport for London journey planner. By Road Please be advised that it is quicker and easier to travel to the QEIICC using public transport and that it is within the congestion charging zone. There is no car parking at the Centre, however there are several public car parks nearby. 7 7 Genesis 2014 Exhibitor Manual By Train To plan your train journey to London you can use National Rail Enquiries. There are three mainline rail stations within a mile of the Centre. These are Charing Cross, Victoria and Waterloo. To plan your travel from the other mainline terminals in central London (St Pancras International, King’s Cross, Paddington, Liverpool Street, London Bridge) use the Transport for London journey planner. Walking from Charing Cross (0.7 miles) Exit the front of Charing Cross Station and turn left towards Trafalgar Square. Turn left down Whitehall and continue until Parliament Square. Follow Parliament Square around to the right and turn right onto Broad Sanctuary. The Centre is on your right directly opposite Westminster Abbey. Walking from Victoria (0.7 miles) Exit the front of Victoria Station, walk across the bus stand area and turn right onto Victoria Street. Continue along Victoria Street until you reach Westminster Abbey. The Centre is on your left, directly opposite the Abbey. Walking from Waterloo (1 mile) Exit the station onto York Road. Turn left and walk to the roundabout with County Hall Hotel on your right. Cross York Road and take Westminster Bridge Road on your right. Cross the bridge to Parliament Square and follow Parliament Square around to the right. Turn right onto Broad Sanctuary. The Centre is on your right directly opposite Westminster Abbey. St Pancras International - Eurostar You can reach St Pancras International Station easily by public transport from Victoria Station. For more information on travelling on the Eurostar, contact National Rail Enquiries on 0845 7484950. By Air It will take you 45 minutes to an hour to reach the QEIICC on public transport from any of London’s airports. Heathrow Airport - Approximate journey time: 1 hour Take the tube to Green Park on the Piccadilly Line. Change to the Jubilee Line and stop at Westminster. Alternatively take the Heathrow Express to Paddington, and then take the Circle Line tube to Westminster. Gatwick Airport - Approximate journey time: 45 minutes Take the Gatwick Express to Victoria Railway Station. The Centre is a 15-minute walk from Victoria via Victoria Street. Stansted Airport - Approximate journey time: 1 hour Take the Stansted Express to Liverpool Street and then take the Circle Line tube to Westminster tube station. London City Airport - Approximate journey time: 45 minutes Take the Jubilee Line from the airport to Westminster tube station. Luton Airport - Approximate journey time: 1 hour 15 minutes Take one of the special connecting buses from the airport to Luton rail station. Take one of the frequent trains to Kings Cross, and from here take the Circle Line tube to Westminster. 8 8 Genesis 2014 Exhibitor Manual Deliveries and Collections All deliveries to the exhibition must be clearly marked with the following: GENESIS CONFERENCE Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre Storey’s Gate Loading Bay Westminster London SW1P 3EE Contents of delivery Company Name Stand Number Box X of X Access to the QEII Conference Centre Loading Bay The loading bay is situated on Storey’s Gate in Westminster and is located within the Transport for London Congestion Zone. The loading bay is a shared facility for all deliveries and collections at the QEII therefore, vehicles are permitted access on a first come first served basis. Due to the dimensions of the loading bay and the fact that only one vehicle is permitted at any one time, during exhibition set up and breakdown the following conditions must be adhered to: • The loading bay is left clear at all times unless loading/unloading is in progress • The vehicle is not left unattended when transferring items to and from exhibition area, whilst the vehicle is removed from the loading bay • All corridors and fire exits are left clear to ensure access is maintained at all times Deliveries and Collections All deliveries must be made to the loading bay and the QEII must be advised on the quantity of items, estimated time of arrival/departure, destination and appropriate contact names. Movement of Deliveries There is no facility to move palletised products from lifts to the exhibition stands therefore everything needs to be in boxes and moved on trolleys only.
