The Greatest Class A Profile of the Class of 1970 Bishop Watterson High School July 1, 2015 Written and Compiled by Stephen M. Marson, Ph.D. Copy Editors Joyce Girlando Gassin Kathleen Brennan Hounsell Micki Flanagan-Soulen 1 What Was Happening While I Was a Student At Watterson? Historical events between 1966 and 1970 set the tone and established cultural parameters for our tenure at Bishop Watterson High School. The following is a list of historical events which occurred while we were in high school. They have been categorized into freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior years. Events emphasized are those in which classmates have expressed a particular interest. For example, Chris Bush had a passion for the Monkeys, so events related to the Monkeys are included. Greg Buchwalter had a passion for flight and space, so those events are listed. There was an article in the Eagleview about a priest who loved to discuss Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band in his religion class. Thus, all historical events concerning the Beatles have been included. However, I made sure not to include anything about Frank Zappa. So, if your interest is not included in this list, it simply means, you didn’t hang out with me.
