SUMMER MUSIC CAMP 13 Mr. Ben Cantrell, Percussion Instructor, is excited to be back to the UNCG Summer Music Camp. Ben is the Camp Staff percussion instructor at Winston-Salem State University and drumline instructor at Elon University. He is pursuing a DMA at UNCG. Ben is proud to be an educational artist for Mapex/Majestic Percussion and Innovative Percussionist Ms. Anja Arko, Piano Instructor, is a Slovenian born and mallets. pianist pursuing a DMA in Piano Performance at UNCG where she studies with Joseph Di Piazza. She completed Dr. Brian Carter, Voice Instructor, a native of High Point, a Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance and Music NC, is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Music and Education at the University of Ljubljana and continued Voice at Washington State University. Formerly a cellist, her studies in the US at the Schwob School of Music Dr. Carter discovered classical singing in his late twenties in Georgia. She also earned a MM degree in Piano and went on to pursue vocal studies earning a Bachelor’s Performance from the University of Florida. Arko has degree from UNCG, a Master’s degree from University of studied with Alexander Kobrin, Natalia Antonova, Ann Houston, and a DMA degree at the University of Michigan.
