JDI’s predecessors are the display operations of the six Japanese companies that had led Japan’s display industry: Sony Corporation, Toshiba Corporation, and Hitachi, Ltd., and going further back, Panasonic Corporation, Seiko Epson Corporation, and SANYO Electric Co., Ltd.
