The topic will be American Jewish Film: Race, Assimilation and Jewish Identity. Pre-registration is required due to limited seating. Mr. Abelew was born in Moscow then lived in New Jersey for 43 years where he taught art at the Art Student League and the New York School of Design. He worked in many mediums but was best known for his work in oils. Mr. Abelew was a member of the Verona Jewish Center in Verona, NJ and designed the stained glass windows of their synagogue. ◾ A $150 gift card to Zahav restaurant in Philadelphia, PA.
