If your child was born outside of these dates, please see page 42 for further information. Please read it carefully if you live in the Borough of Wandsworth and have a child transferring to secondary school, or live elsewhere and wish to apply for a secondary school in Wandsworth. The booklet contains details of the eleven state-funded secondary schools in Wandsworth. To apply for a place at any of these schools you must complete the form provided by the borough in whose area you live, or apply online by visiting the borough’s website. At least one should be near where you live. • You may complete a paper form or apply online (see below) • You must check if any of the schools you are applying for require a supplementary information form to be completed (see page 10 of this booklet) • Your application and any supplementary forms must be received by 23 October 2009 • You will be sent a letter to confirm that your application has been received Completing a paper form • If you live in the borough of Wandsworth, complete the green application form in the back of this booklet. If you live in another borough, you will need to use the form issued by your own council. • Supplementary information forms for Wandsworth schools are also in the back of this booklet. • Return the green application form and any supplementary information forms to your child’s Wandsworth primary school or to Pupil Services (address on form). Applying online • Log on to www.wandsworth.gov.uk/admissions and click on ‘apply online’ • Click on ‘Register to apply online’ and enter your email address • You will receive an email with a username and a link. You must click on the link to validate your email address • You will then receive a second email with your username and password to apply online (a link to the start of the application process is available in this email) • Follow the simple instructions on the screen to complete the online form and submit your application • The system will tell you if a school you have selected requires a supplementary information form. You can complete and post a paper form in the back of this booklet. Alternatively, you can download a form from the website and scan or save it in ‘PDF’ or ‘jpeg’ format and send it electronically with your online application. • You will be taken to a confirmation page and given an application reference number.
