Recent observations have been the increase of private boats and greater diversity in the type of boats. Kayaks and canoes continue to be the dominant boat types (74%). 3. The 2005 Social Carrying Capacity Study (Confluence) found that people begin to feel crowded as the number of boats per Nicklaus hour on ROGD exceeds 25 – 30. North 4.
