The Coast Pilot supplements the navigational information shown on NOAA nautical charts. The Coast Pilot is continually updated and maintained from inspections conducted by NOAA survey vessels and fi eld parties, corrections published in Notices to Mariners, information from other Federal agencies, State and local governments, maritime and pilots’ associations, port authorities, and concerned mariners. NOAA’s Offi ce of Coast Survey encourages public feedback regarding its suite of nautical charting products and services through the Nautical Inquiry/Discrepancy Reporting System. This system allows comments, inquiries and chart discrepancies to be submitted directly to NOAA’s nautical charting program. Inquiries are typically acknowledged by email within one day, and ninety percent are answered or resolved within fi ve days.
