June 24: Lecture/teaching session by professors Obeid and Timani. Visiting the all white Sheikh Zayed Mosque to learn about the role of women in the mosque and Islam (Teaching/lectures: 240 minutes). June 25: traveling to Sharjah, the UNESCO’s cultural capital of the Arab and Islamic world: A visit to Sharjah Museum and Islamic Civilization, which holds thousands of rare and important Islamic artifacts. You can learn about aspects of Islamic faith, science, discoveries and culture and the contribution of women in these areas; a visit to Sharjah heritage museum, which emphasizes the value of the deep rooted Arab customs and traditions and how that customs and traditions define the role of women; (Lectures: 240 minutes). A visit to the American University of Dubai to attend lectures on the role of women in society; back to Sharjah (teaching/lectures: 240 minutes).
