SPARTAN CLUB • Who Are We? o The Spartan Club at Mount Tabor High School is the “team behind the teams.” We support all Mount Tabor High School athletic teams. o Our primary purposes are to: . promote school spirit; . improve MTHS’s playing facilities; . supply teams with needed equipment; . increase volunteer involvement in MTHS athletics; . fund projects benefiting the athletic teams. o We are a group of volunteers and donors who contribute to the success of our athletic teams and the positive experiences the teams instill in our student athletes. • Why Have a Spartan Club? o School funds do not cover all the expenses required to field competitive teams. The Spartan Club supplements the school funds so that MTHS can enhance the experiences and performances of our student athletes. o The Spartan Club members are critical to the success of each team. Every year the Spartan Club completes major projects that support our teams. Projects completed during the past few school years include: . New team chairs for gym (2005-2006) . Wrestling mats for new wrestling room (2005-2006) . Softball bleachers (2005-2006) . Purchase New Championship banners for Gym(2005-2006) . Outdoor baseball batting cage (2006-2007) . Purchase new refrigerator - outdoor concession stand (2006-2007) . Purchase ventilation fans for gym (2006-2007) . Paid off loan for the softball and practice field lights (2006-2007) . Tree wind barrier for tennis courts (2006-2007) . Indoor Ice Maker (2006-2007) . Add Hardwood Floor in Practice Gym (2007-2008) . Expand and renovate Indoor Concession Stand *2007-2008) . Floor Protection and Wrestling Mats (2007-2008) . Purchase John Deere Mini Tractor (2007-2008) . Purchase Portable Sound System (2007-2008) . Purchase new soccer goals (2207-2008) . Storage Building for Field hockey (2007-2008) . Award banquets for fall, winter, spring sports (Every Year) . Enhance Stadium Speaker System • How Do I Join the SPARTAN CLUB? o Fill out the membership/volunteer form o Pay annual dues – only $25 per year o Volunteer to help with the MTHS athletic activities o Attend MTHS athletic events and support the SPARTANS! The Spartan Club falls under the direction of the Mount Tabor Athletic Board. The Athletic Board is a member of the Mount Tabor PTSA organization.
