I had been chosen to represent the Red Poll Society at the 2010 South Australian Heifer Expo. The week started with time spent at Moyle Park, Jamestown. We braved the icy wind and imminent rain to spend the day looking at cattle and working with the heifer Mr and Mrs Daley had so kindly lent me for the Expo. That evening we had planned a hot shower, followed by a lovely dinner at the local restaurant but unfortunately the Perth weather caught up with Adelaide late that afternoon and PG 2 by dusk there was no power, every shop in town had closed by winning an Auctioneers Course donated by The Society of their doors, including the restaurant and the local hotel.
