Each year the EACLE colloquium considers a specific legal ques- 19 tion from a variety of national perspectives. The 2007 initiative on “The 20 Internationalization of Law and Legal Education” was coordinated by the 21 staff of the University of Helsinki Faculty of Law and the Academy of Fin- 22 land Centre of Excellence in Global Governance Research. We would like 23 to thank those who attended the 2007 meeting for their insightful remarks, 24 and for their inspiration, suggestions, and encouragement in making this 25 volume and the EACLE consortium so effective in fostering greater transat- 26 lantic cooperation on law and legal education. 27 Thanks are also due to the faculty, staff and students of the Center 28 for International and Comparative Law who prepared this volume for 29 publication, and particularly to Morad Eghbal, James Maxeiner, Kathryn 30 Spanogle, Jordan Kobb, Astarte Daley, Suzanne Conklin, P.
