TAIL TRUNK SHOW As we welcome more folks back for season, it is probably a good time to re-visit our golf cart usage policies. Yes, I just heard a few of you groan out loud. As we enter Fall, we begin to experience a decline in plant growth due to cooler temperatures and shorter daylight hours. Add increased cart traffic to 50’S & 60’S NIGHT less rigorous grass growth and you begin to see an impact to course conditions and playability. The rules are fairly simple and when everyone cooperates, everyone wins! First and foremost, keep carts on the path around all tees and greens and the entire length of all Par 3's. Mondays - check calendar Many people ask MGA members about the “Shootout." It is a good question, and while we assume everyone knows about it, we forget about the basic idea of how this format got started. The “shootout” is a competitive form of play that includes the top ten scoring league members who have accrued the most points from weekly games. Each week during a period of the golf season our MGA members play in HELP US a different game. Points are awarded to the golfers based on the leaderboard of winners for that round. For instance, the first-place winner for the week earns 10 points for the Shootout Leaderboard. The HELP YOU BY . second-place winner receives 9 points, the third-place winner 8 points, and so on right down to the last Filling divots with sand and place finisher who earns one point.
