SURVIVE PRODUCED BY ! ROCK PAPER SCISSORS ENTERTAINMENT! INTRODUCTION! !Survivor via The Walking Dead in a 60-minute unscripted series." !Every time you watch a zombie film you have that nagging thought in the back of your mind as the characters decide their fate at every plot twist and turn -! !I know exactly what I would do. ! !In everyday life you catch yourself thinking about various survival scenarios:! !“This property would be a great place to fortify during the zombie apocalypse. I could use that grass to grow food, there"s a fresh water source over there and if I crash my car up against that door, there"s no way anyone, dead or not, is getting through.”! !Or, you#re out for a hike with your husband and you see suspicious activity off the trail and think “If that"s a zombie and he gets my man, do I help him get away and hope there"s a cure or do I put him out of his misery now with my trusty Swedish keychain knife?”! What are your chances of surviving the zombie apocalypse?! THE GAME 5 Teams of 5 will attempt to make their way from separate but equidistant origin points to Safe Haven several miles away through brush, waterways, forests, clearings and deserted towns - not to mention the hordes of Zombies just waiting to make them lunch. " Along the way Teams will encounter geographic and logistical challenges that will test them into potentially shrinking or expanding." Teams will follow maps without marked refuges and instead will encounter various makeshift and built shelters. Teams will need to work together to weigh their options on these structures# security. " JOURNEY! !A deserted alley could prove safe protection or could contain a deadly den of Zombies. That abandoned school bus blocking the road provides high ground, but all those busted out windows are the perfect arms- length away for hungry undead.! !Teams will need to determine their travel strategy from safe house to safe house and will have to band together to protect each other when security is sparse.! !Who will forage for food? Who will stand sentry in the night? Who will hide when others need help?! THE PROPRIETOR! How will the Teams react when after several days of just themselves and Zombies they come across ! The Proprietor?! He#s been out here a long time and has managed to survive – even thrive. ! !When the Teams make their way to their journey#s halfway point, each must decide how it will react to this new, human presence. Does The Proprietor want to trick the Teams and take their supplies to sell to others? Does he want to guide them towards a nearby Zombie Hoard to keep them away from his home? Or, maybe he is just a friendly old man who wants some company for a little while and is willing to share his food and shelter?! RULES! AUDITIONS! Contestants will audition individually and the Producers will determine on which team of 5 each person resides." (There is an alternate version of the series in which a Team of 5 can audition together.)" When 1 Member dies, the remaining Members will have the opportunity to join a different group, should another Team think he or she is worthy, or stay together as a Team.! FLAGS! Members will have 3 flags the Zombies will attempt to grab. These flags must be predominately displayed and not hidden from view or obstructed from reach. ! When a Zombie takes a Member#s last flag that person is out and does not come back as a Zombie. " Zombies will have marathon-type bibs that Members will snatch to %kill them.# ! VIOLENCE" !This is not a violent series. Tackling, biting, ripping clothing, etc. are not permitted. ! This is a survival series with physical elements. ! The Producers and Stunt Coordinators must be extremely careful in selecting the Zombies who must adhere to a strict code. ! Contestants must know exactly for what kind of adventure in which they are competing. ! ZOMBIES! Zombies are stunt performers (perhaps in a collaboration with a company like 87eleven http://www.87eleven.net/) and follow Walking Dead zombie rules:! Zombies meander about at a slow pace taking roughly one step every 20 seconds.! Zombies are attracted to sound and light and will wait a full minute to register these before moving to advance.! Zombies can then steadily increase their pace until they reach their goal – you!! ZOMBIE CAM! !Several Zombies will wear wearable cameras on helmets, harnesses and wrist straps so the audience can really get in on the action. ! !This footage will bring a new dimension to the viewing experience. It will not only add action but suspense to an already scary situation. ! http:// happinessandotherliesofshit.tumblr.com/post/ 68754300610! SUPPLIES! !Each Team will get the same number and type of supplies, however they will not have enough food provided at Origination and must find their own wild, supplemental sustenance.! The Team must decide how to use its supplies. Maybe it#s a democracy, maybe a dictatorship.! 2 gallon jugs of water! 1 blanket! 8 granola bars! 2 chocolate bars! 5 cans of vegetables! !Team members will be allowed to bring their own survival gear to the Game, however the Producers will be able to eliminate items – lighters, weapons, etc.! The audience will get to see how each person is creative in their desire to succeed. Maybe one person brings 3 empty water bottles or another brings a magnifying glass to start a fire. ! Teams are allowed to try to take supplies from other Teams.! CLOTHING! Members will be allowed the same number and articles of clothing:! !2 pairs pants! !2 t-shirts! !1 long sleeved shirt! !1 sweater! !2 pairs socks! !1 pair shoes! !Members can pick up items along the way as they become available. Pulling a pair of boots off a downed Zombie probably isn#t pleasant, but your warm feet will thank you. A discarded bike helmet might still be attached to a head, but it#s very good armor.! SAFE HAVEN! After surviving the elements and running a zombie-filled gauntlet, a fortified building within a flimsy chain-link fence contains sanctuary. ! The first Member or Team to make it to the top of the building wins.! However, they first have to get through the Zombies guarding the gates and perhaps a straggler or two in the hallways. ! PRIZE! The prize will divide equally among the Members who make it to Safe Haven. ! If during the course of play, a contestant chooses to join another, bigger group, each person#s share will be smaller. On the flip side, if the contestant stays with a smaller team, the share is bigger. ! One person can win the entire prize, should that person never join another Team after its original Members depart.! PRODUCTION PERSONNEL! ROCK PAPER SCISSORS ENTERTAINMENT - Producers!
