We are delighted to have you join us for another exciting and cWhallenging fishing tournament, full of great fishing, fun, food, entertainment, and friends. This is an exciting year for our tournament with the inclusion of our new “pre-tournament,” the Marathon Marlin Tournament at Faro Blanco Resort and Yacht Club. Expanding our tournament’s brand allows us to include upper and middle Keys anglers in our premier fishing event. We are happy to welcome our new anglers and are proud to share with them a first-class fishing experience. We will also be experiencing the excitement of a new venue for many of our events. Everything excluding our Awards Banquet and Silent Auction (held at the beautiful Westin Key West Resort & Marina) will be held at Dante’s Restaurant & Raw Bar. Dante’s complex boasts a crystal clear swimming pool, a cascading waterfall and Tiki bars, creating a gorgeous and relaxing setting for our anglers. We are very happy to welcome back our title sponsor Bacardi Oakheart, the number one fishing Rum. Bacardi Oakheart is a spiced rum with a unique, smoky flavor, perfect for sipping after an adventurous day of fishing. Our television show will again be produced under the direction of Fernando Barta and his great team of videographers. It takes great skill to capture all of the excitement of this tournament, and we thank them for their dedication and for the outstanding program that airs each year on Fox Sports Networks. Each year the tournament takes place during the Hemingway Days Festival and we wish to encourage you to take part in the many events surrounding this annual celebration of the great author’s life and works. From the Papa Hemingway Look-alike Contest to the Caribbean Street Fair, there is something for everyone, and we are happy to be a part of this extraordinary festival. I would like to thank you all for your participation in our tournament this year, and would like you to join me in thanking our fine sponsors, without whom this tournament would not be possible.
