2014-08-19 09:44 CEST Artist/Producer Big Swede To Release First Single With New All Star Rock Project ‘Refurbished’ Los Angeles, CA, August 19th, 2014 – Producer/artist Big Swede is releasing the first single with his all star rock project “Refurbished”, on August 19th, 2014. The track is called “Show Up For The Showdown” and is the first from the upcoming full length “Refurbished” album “Only Want The Best”, to be released September 23rd. The album features Rod Jackson (Slash’s Snakepit), Michael Devin (Whitesnake), Jeff Scott Soto (Yngwie Malmsteen) and Reeves Gabrels (David Bowie), among others. “No matter who you are, where you live or work, you always have to show up for the showdown, everyday. I was going for a straight ahead, no thrills, rock vibe, featuring some of my friends who I have great respect for. The first single is a straight up rocker and a nice introduction to the rest of the record,” says Big Swede. The album consists of 13 tracks with a total of 17 guests. Inspiration for the record was drawn from Big Swede’s many years living in Los Angeles. Most of it was recorded at Big Swede Studios, located in downtown Los Angeles, except for a few parts that were added in Stockholm, Rio and London. “All these guests have been in such a variety of situations before. I tried to do something different than what you normally would expect. I was refurbishing them,” laughs Big Swede.
