Next Committee Meeting 11th December - All Welcome Meeting held at Hull Sports, Chanterlands Ave, Hull, 7.30pm Email articles for Scene to [email protected] For club information visit: www.htrc.co.uk Page 5 of 20 Social Scene November 2017 Hull Thursday rc Hull Thursday Paper Chase October 2017: Paul Kilvington & Amanda Dean The Kilvo Paint Mobile ready to ride: Paul and Doug headed out at 8am to mark out the route. The Rules of the Game All the route is on tarmac although there are some sections of route that are muddy due to farm traffic etc. The trail will consist of 12 inch dashes of orange road marking paint (As used on the Big G). It will be laid in the left-hand gutter of the road. Cycle paths, country lanes, laybys, and disused roads and bridleways may all be used. Occasionally arrows may be used to indicate the route. This is for safety reasons to stop riders crossing busy roads etc. Arrows will not be used as false trials. If the trail is laid on a cycle path please ride on the cycle path – If you ride on the road you may miss the trail and end up going off course – you have been warned. False trails may be laid. However only 2 or 3 paint marks will be put down on any false trail. Therefore, if you pass 4 paint marks after a junction, you can safely assume it is not a false trail and crack on. If you get hopelessly lost, or need assistance, please call Doug or Paul and we will help you re-join the route.
