In 2011, EGAT had made a review of our corporate social responsibility master plan in agreement with changing situations, namely the Government’s Statement of Direction (SOD), EGAT’s corporate social responsibility policy and strategies focusing on the conducting of social responsibility embedded in our core business operation or the CSR in process, the formulating of CSR roadmap following the principles as outlined in the International Standard ISO 26000, and the integration of social responsibility in our core business processes. EGAT also actively promoted and supported the building of social responsibility culture and encouraged employees at all levels to involve in the social responsibility initiatives and activities. Meanwhile, EGAT also worked in close collaboration with our social network in undertaking social and community activities for the well-being of communities and the society at large in order to become a role model organization in performing our duties as in the slogan “Power for Thai Happiness”.
