At 400m above sea level, the vineyard is located in two of the Corbières terroirs: Termenès and Quéribus. MONT Producteurs de Plaimont Producteurs Plaimont are located at Saint-Mont, in the Gers, in Gascony. Arrufiac, This is a co-operative operating to some of the highest standards of any such enterprise in France. The white wine grapes are Petit Courbu, Petit and Gros Manseng, Colombard, Ugni-Blanc and Listan. The Saint-Mont vineyards began in the fourth century BC, when plants were imported by the Greeks. It is thus one of the oldest vineyards in France. In 1050 the Abbey of Saint-Mont was founded by Benedictine monks. The monks, as always, were particularly interested in the area as it had already been colonised by the vine. They developed the vineyards further to the point that Gascony wines were actually exported to the United Kingdom as early as the XIVth century. The five wines we have listed below all are very good examples of the region, but we particularly like the Vignes Retrouvees as this wine has been aged on its lees in order to give more structure to the wine. 1 Cuvée du Roy Ugni Blanc / Colombard NV, Cotes de Gascogne 6.19 74.28 29 Colombard 2016/17 Cotes de Gascogne 6.50 78.00 22 Chemin des Pelerins Blanc 2015/16 Saint Mont 7.14 85.68 20 Saint Mont Les Vignes Retrouvees 2015/16 8.78 105.36 370 Maestria 2015 Pacherenc du Vic Bihl (Dessert) 50cl 7.88 189.12 5456 La Saint Sylvestre Pacherenc du Vic-Bihl 2012 (Dessert) 50cl 22.69 544.56 11 Chemin des Pelerins Rosé 2017 Saint Mont 7.14 85.68 3 Cuvée du Roy Merlot, Cabernet, Tannat NV, Cotes de Gascogne 6.19 74.28 10 Ribeton Merlot / Tannat 2017, Cotes de Gascogne 6.43 77.16 1767 Chemin des Pelerins Rouge 2014 Saint Mont 7.14 85.68 Domaine du Tariquet Domaine du Tariquet is owned and managed by Yves Grassa. The estate was originally used for the production of fine Armagnacs, a selection of which we list towards the end of this Wine List. In the late 1980s, Yves decided to move into the production of unfortified wine. He invested hugely in what are still considered to be "state of the art" facilities. Many of his contempories thought him to be completely crazy but his vision proved timely, as it coincided with a major increase in the price of Muscadet which at the time was one of the best selling inexpensive wines in the UK. Yves' Cotes de Gascogne wines managed to fill the gap left by Muscadet, and as the wines were not nearly as dry they also were able to compete against the invaders from the New World. He now produces an impressive range of still wines of which we list a small selection. 23 Tariquet Classic 2017, Cotes de Gascogne 6.83 81.96 1850 Tariquet Classic 2016/17, Cotes de Gascogne Magnums 13.83 82.98 16 Sauvignon 2017, Cotes de Gascogne 7.40 88.80 24 Chardonnay 2017, Cotes de Gascogne 7.54 90.48 1618 Réserve 2017, Cotes de Gascogne 9.00 108.00 1613 Côté 2016/17 (co-fermented Chardonnay / Sauvignon), Cotes de Gascogne 9.28 111.36 1638 Domaine du Mage Merlot / Syrah 2017, Cotes de Gascogne 7.19 86.28 418 Les Derniers Grives Petit Manseng 2015/16, Cotes de Gascogne (Dessert) 15.26 183.12 FRENCH BAG IN BOX - 10lts 1878 Odes a La Gascogne White 69.34 1879 Odes a La Gascogne Red 69.34 20% VAT should be added to all prices Code 3 bottle case BORDEAUX ROUGE BORDEAUX 1776 Chateau Moulin de Mallet 2016/17 8.04 96.48 39 Reserve du Chateau Bel Air Perponcher 2014, Despagne 10.46 125.52 1319 Girolate 2008/11, Despagne 59.70 716.40 BORDEAUX SUPERIEUR & COTES DE FRANCS 31 Chateau Cap de Merle 2015/16, Bordeaux Superieur 7.96 95.52 1777 Chateau Argadens 2012/14, Bordeaux Superieur 10.23 122.76 2923 Chateau Puygueraud 2015, Cotes de Francs 16.85 202.20 SAINT EMILION 38 Chateau Tabuteau 2014/15 Lussac 10.07 120.84 41 Chateau Tabuteau 2014 Lussac Halves 5.58 133.92 83 Chateau Tabuteau 2014 Lussac Magnums 21.27 127.62 1429 Baron Carl St Emilion 2014, Baron Philippe de Rothschild 18.81 225.72 2925 Chateau Pindefleurs 2011 Grand Cru 20.75 249.00 1279 Chateau Jean Voisin Faguoet 2012 Grand Cru 15.20 182.40 1009 Chateau la Serre 2008 Grand Cru Classe 34.81 417.72 1710 Chateau Canon 1er Grand Cru Classe 2014 57.61 691.32 1707 Chateau la Croix St Georges 2006 62.92 755.04 1874 Chateau Figeac 2005 1er Grand Cru Classe 195.04 2340.48 1014 Chateau Pavie 2001 1er Grand Cru Classe (very limited stock) 358.63 4303.56 2523 Chateau Cheval Blanc 2005 1er Grand Cru Classe 789.73 9476.76 LALANDE de POMEROL & POMEROL 1808 Chateau La Menotte 2014, Lalande de Pomerol 13.31 159.72 1679 Chateau Mazeyres 2012, Pomerol 27.80 333.60 1981 Chateau Mazeyres 2015, Pomerol 33.36 400.32 552 Chateau Moulinet Lasserre 2011, Pomerol 29.07 348.84 5256 Chateau Chantalouette 2011, Pomerol 28.49 341.88 1301 Chateau Lafleur-Gazin 2007, Pomerol 34.80 417.60 2139 Chateau Lafleur-Gazin 2008, Pomerol 39.49 473.88 1832 Chateau La Croix de Gay 2012, Pomerol 40.39 484.68 1019 Chateau la Conseillante 1996, Pomerol (very limited stock) 151.12 1813.44 5532 Chateau la Conseillante 1999, Pomerol 125.83 1509.96 1865 Petrus 2015, Pomerol 3700.00 20% VAT should be added to all prices Code 4 bottle case SAINT ESTEPHE 5542 Saint Estephe Selection 2012, Schroder & Schyler 18.41 220.92 1819 Chateau de Pez 2012 Halves 17.72 425.28 1856 Chateau de Pez 2011 Magnums 70.71 424.26 1723 Chateau de Pez 2014 32.58 390.96 2911 Chateau Haut Beausejour 2014 23.90 286.80 158 Chateau Ormes de Pez 2008 39.30 471.60 5540 Chateau Phelan-Segur 2005 54.12 649.44 5541 Chateau Phelan-Segur 2011 Magnums 94.61 567.66 1847 Chateau Calon Segur 2004, 3eme Cru 91.48 1097.76 MEDOC & HAUT MEDOC 70 Private Reserve Medoc 2015, Schroder & Schyler 9.49 113.88 1678 Chateau du Breuil 2015 Haut Medoc 12.55 150.60 Chateau Cissac was created in 1899 by the Mondon Family and it was eventually passed down through marriage to Louis Vialard went to live at Château Cissac in 1940.
